We covered the four countries of Indochina in a 7 week trip that took us from Bangkok through the principal tourist sites in northern Thailand, to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. The route offers wonderful opportunities to explore the religions of this area, its geography, peoples and their way of life. We travelled independently (by bus, boat, train and plane) without mishap (except that I lost my passport for a while) and were completely fascinated by the sites. While the people of the region are very friendly, but possibly because of the terrible experiences of the last 50 years that some of them have gone through, they are not quite as open and welcoming as the Indians and the colour of India is missing. It is however a wonderful area and is to be highly recommended. Images of the separate countries will be added in early October.
By clicking on the pictures or one of the links above you will taken to separate pages for each of the four countries.
